Classroom Policies
Upon entering the classroom, students will walk into the classroom, hang up coats/backpacks/lunch boxes in desired cubby and coat hooks. This is to ensure no lost items.
At the beginning of the day, students will open their assignment notebooks for checking of parent signatures. This process is to ensure they are checking their daily to-do's when they go home.
After arrival and assignment notebooks, we begin out morning meetings of positive compliments to our classmates, and announcements for the day.
Throughout the day students will have five minutes of passing time to use the restroom, sharpen pencils, gather proper materials for class.
During the day, students may use the restroom at their convenience when I am not giving instruction. There is a bathroom pass for boys and one for girls. A student will put this pass on their desk so I know where they are. Bathroom breaks are limited to one student at a time.
Bullying will not be tolerated of any kind in my classroom, on the playground, at lunch, or with another teacher. My policy for bullying is a follow-up with our guidance counselor.
Regular attendance and participation are required in the classroom.
As a classroom reward, if all students collectively participate in class, we will vote on a movie for Media Monday or Fun Friday. Students have choice what day they would like.
At the end of the day, before exiting the students will write down all assignments due the next day.
All students will walk quietly and line up to exit after the bell rings. Failure to do so, students will try over again.
Disruptive behavior will be taken care of by offering a break to a student that cannot stay on task. If the behavior gets worse, necessary action will take place.
